The Coonamble community is now the owner of ‘School Bus’, the amazing sculpture created by local Brian Campbell.

Self-taught Brian is based in Coonamble and is relatively new to the art world. He has always had a love for the Outback and has a big interest in preserving and illustrating the history of the bush, which is reflected in his work. ‘School Bus’ gives a nod to days gone by, and memories of growing up.

The Bus is constructed primarily of half inch netting with a bit of steel rod and some quarter inch mesh. It took around 4 and a half months to complete (and 400 longnecks!)

The School Bus is displayed at the Visitor Information Centre.
