A beautiful region to visit!
The Coonamble Shire has a total population of 4030 (ABS 2011 Census). The township of Coonamble has a population of just under 3000 people. There are two villages in the Shire, Gulargambone, with a population of around 500 people and Quambone, with around 100. Residents of rural properties make up approximately one third of the district population. Coonamble is a great central location to explore the region’s natural attractions. Our people are very friendly with lots of local characters to meet.
